Laundry Detergent
A simple powder with lemongrass and grapefruit.
Makes about 8 cups
You'll need
- 3 cups soda crystals
- 3 cups bicarbonate of soda
- 1 cup epsom salts
- 1 cup dishwasher salt
- 30 drops lemongrass essential oil
- 30 drops grapefruit essential oil
Equipment
- large lidded container
- silicone cake cases
Method
- Mix all the dry ingredients together. Shake or stir thoroughly until smooth with no large lumps.
- Add the essential oils and shake thoroughly.
How to use
Fill a regular-sized silicone cake case with powder and use one per wash.
What it isn't
Not a stain remover, and not colour-safe on its own.
Safety
- Can irritate eyes and skin. Avoid contact, and rinse with plenty of water if needed.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Store in a clearly labelled container.
