General purpose surface cleaner
For kitchen and bathroom
Makes 500 ml
You'll need
- 500 ml cold water
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 5 drops teatree oil
Equipment
- Good spray bottle
- funnel
Method
- Add water to clean spray bottle.
- Using a small, dry funnel if necessary, add the bicarb.
- Add the teatree oil.
- Cover the top with the palm of your hand while shaking the mixture, careful not to let any escape.
- Add the sprayer with its straw
- Spray a few times to test the flow.
Notes
This is a great mechanical cleaner, with just enough grit to it to be ever so slightly abrasive.
If you need a bigger kick (tea stain on a white worktop, for exmaple) then sprinkle a bit of bicarb on first, then spray, then work in with a cloth.
Anything you would normally use a cream cleaner for for its abrasiveness - just use a bit more bicarb and make a paste on the surface.
